⚖ Though she speaks clear Eorzean, it is heavily tinged by an accent not of the region. Those familiar with the distant Meracydians might recognize it as similar, but even then her accent differs heavily.⚖ Following the Calamity, Thau was among the adventurers who once answered the call to battle primals, on at least two occasions present in challenge to Ifrit, and Garuda.⚖ Those with a gift for sense and sight of aether will notice that Thau does not merely possess an affinity for levin and gale - she is aspected to these elements. A dangerous phenomenon, yet her mind is still free... somewhat.

Modern Mysteries

⚖ Those who sympathized with the Dravanians in the Dragonsong War found an unlikely ally in heresy, yet her reasons for alliance were never divulged, and she deserted on the eve of what was meant to be a victory.⚖ Often trailed by a familiar of some nature, Thau boldly claims herself to be a summoner. Yet those learned in the resurgent arts of Allagan summoning will recognize her methods to be quite divergent from those of the old empire.⚖ In recent moons, Thau has enrolled at a Sharlayan academy, as a student with a dedicated study in religious and cultural history - among other topics. Perhaps one might find a fellow classmate?⚖ Alongside her academic interests, Thau has a fascination with the natural world. One may chance to find her wandering the realm, often perusing the wilds. In particular, her interest seems especially drawn to botany.⚖ Many times has Thau been seen making significant donations to those in need: orphanages, shelters, the like, especially in struggling nations such as Ishgard and Ul'dah. Those who run such charitable foundations may find a familiar face.⚖ The summoner has no love of machina and magitek. Though she is perhaps wiser to not voice such disdain unprompted, it is hardly a secret that she is averse to technological advancements.

A Hidden History

⚖ Some may recognize Meracydian when they hear it, but only the perceptive or specialized of history may recognize that Thau speaks in an ancient Meracydian dialect, one no longer spoken today.⚖ The tome that Thau carries on her person is no ordinary tome - those who specialize in ancient history, be it of Meracydia or Allag, could recognize its gilded depictions as belonging to Sophia, the Goddess, a deity lost to time.⚖ Those who dig especially deep into Thau's background may find records of her appearances, but will discover that she has no history whatsoever prior to the Calamity.⚖ Many are the sightings of this woman across Eorzea in recent turns, and many are the circumstances of her appearance. Some have seen her face as one of a villain, yet others have seen her as a benefactor. How can one woman be in so many places in such short time?

Rhiannon of the Dotharl

One of the first faces Thau ever saw in her new beginning, Rhiannon has been an important and compassionate guide to Thau's difficulties entering the world. A difference of faith drove a wedge between them, but even still Thau considers Rhiannon dear to her heart.

Viryen Syndelaine

Occupation: Voidsent Hunter
By chance encounter, Viryen's discovery of Thau saw her pity the soulless vessel, and seek to grant her new life. Plunged unto a new world she can learn to feel, Thau finds a much needed friend and guide in Viryen's rarely seen compassion.

- Thau is a high concept character that plays with a few interpretations or ideas I've built over time - they will likely not come up in casual conversation, but are present. This also goes to say that I can be willing to engage high concept characters.- I try to read the room on power scaling, meaning I vary Thau's displayed ability based on who I'm playing with, but in a broad sense without context, Thau is a higher powered character.- Related to this, I play "summoner" with more inspiration drawn from previous Final Fantasies, especially VI and X. It means a larger roster, but also a more active effort to treat summons as actual beings that Thau communes with and seeks to understand.- I very much enjoy participating in and telling stories, short or long-term, light or dark; I do not really have any outstanding boundaries on themes or tone. I'm mostly looking for a traditional Final Fantasy experience of quests, adventure, and playing fun jobs. Slice of life is possible, but minimal in her experiences.- If your character has the Echo and you'd like to talk about using it as a hook, hit me up.- I am over 21, but ERP is not on an option.
